Objective 2.2: Design Assessments & Evaluate Data

Students will design assessments aligned with the intended outcomes of the learning environments, choose and implement appropriate methods to conduct formative and summative evaluation of the learning environment, and use data to continuously improve the instructional product(s).

Effective instructional design requires well-aligned assessments and continuous evaluation. In my design thinking and evaluation project, I developed a formative and summative evaluation plan for a company’s LMS onboarding implementation, ensuring assessments measured intended outcomes and guided improvements. My ISD project included a comprehensive evaluation strategy, utilizing all levels of Kirkpatrick’s model to assess learning effectiveness, behavior change, and business impact. Through these projects, I gained experience in designing meaningful assessments, selecting appropriate evaluation methods, and using data to refine instructional products for better learner outcomes.
