Designing learning experiences requires balancing structure, engagement, and support, and each of my projects reflects this process. In my hybrid learning solution for Bloomberg Terminal training, I had to consider both direct instruction and hands-on practice to ensure business students could apply their knowledge effectively. While designing a curriculum using Keller’s ARCS model, I explored how motivation and scaffolding impact learning, comparing it to Gagné’s framework to refine my approach. Creating an interactive narrative game in Twine pushed me to think about how decision-making and scaffolding shape learning experiences, reinforcing engagement through meaningful choices. Similarly, developing a collaborative board game for Driver’s Ed highlighted the role of peer interaction and guided practice in knowledge retention. Through these projects, I’ve learned how different instructional strategies can be integrated to create accessible, effective, and engaging learning opportunities.
